A court management trust is a trust created by the courts, usually when an incapacitated person or minor child inherits property or needs to qualify for government benefits. It is preferred that a trust be set up by an individual before it is needed, instead of going through the court system. Court management trusts often require a corporate trustee, who often charge large fees to manage trusts.
