Trusts
A living trust can be a useful way to provide protection if you become incapacitated. A trustee will often have an easier time managing your assets than a Durable Power of Attorney agent. The Trustee can only control assets that are titled in trust, however, so “funding” the trust (i.e. setting up your assets to be owned by or paid to the trust) is important.
